Buffeted by global weakness and uncertainty, The Ministry of Trade and Industry (MTI) announced on 21 November 2011 that the Singapore’s economy is expected to grow at a sluggish 1 to 3% next year.

Policymakers globally have also expressed increasing alarm at the risks facing the world economy.  Global economic conditions are expected to remain subdued in 2012.  Growth in East Asian Economies will slow next year with demand from key export markets in the US and Europe falling as they struggles with their debt crises.  However with the region's large foreign reserves and current-account surpluses, will it cushion the region from the impact of another global financial crisis?

SBF is pleased to organise this update seminar where thought leaders are invited to share and discuss the current economic situation the implications on the Singapore Businesses and provide feedback to Singapore Budget 2012.
