Over the last 10 years, the business landscape for the small and medium enterprises (SMEs) in Singapore has evolved significantly. The Singapore Government continues to focus and commit resources in helping SMEs develop and grow both in Singapore as well into overseas markets. DP Information Group (DP Info) has tracked and measured the performance of SMEs as well as profiled SMEs sentiments through various initiatives such as the annual SME 1000 Rankings and the annual SME Development Survey. In this presentation, we will share some of the salient developments of SMEs over the last 10 years in areas such as financial performance, key strategies, challenges, overall growth and expansion into overseas markets. With the current uncertain economic climate, businesses will need to prepare for an economic slowdown. This presentation will also provide insights for companies to safeguard their credit risk, improve cash flow and sustain their competitive edge in the marketplace.
